R32
The R32 GT-R Nismo was the homologation special built in 1990 to meet Group A touring car regulations for Nissan's entry into the All Japan Touring Car Championship. Nissan stripped weight from the standard GT-R, improved cooling and aerodynamics, and swapped the ceramic turbine wheels for metal units to handle racing conditions. Exactly 560 units were built, all finished in Gun Gray Metallic (KH2).
560 units total. Lottery-allocated through Nissan Prince dealerships after reservations exceeded the initial 500-unit plan. Reservations: Feb 23 – Mar 7, 1990. Lottery held March 11, 1990.
